V2S Engineering, PSU and Siemens Sign Two MOUs to Strengthen Academia–Industry Collaboration for Smart Manufacturing
On October 7, 2026, V2S Engineering Co., Ltd., the Faculty of Engineering at Prince of Songkla University (PSU), and Siemens Limited jointly organized an event titled “Connecting Academia, Industry and Technology to Prepare for Smart Manufacturing.” The event included the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) and was held at Dongyang 1 Meeting Room, Faculty of Engineering, Prince of Songkla University.

Executives and representatives from all three organizations attended the event to exchange perspectives and strengthen collaboration between academia, industry and technology. The discussions highlighted the importance of workforce development and knowledge sharing in response to the evolving needs of the industrial sector.

Two MOUs to Strengthen Academic and Industry Collaboration
A key highlight of the event was the signing of two MOUs:

Through its collaboration with PSU, V2S Engineering aims to connect academic knowledge with practical industrial experience and technology. The partnership supports learning opportunities, skills development and workforce readiness for the evolving manufacturing sector.

Knowledge Sharing on Automation, IT/OT Security and Smart Factory
The event featured knowledge-sharing sessions covering Trend for Smart Factory Automation, Factory System in Southern Thailand, IT Security, OT Security, IT/OT Convergence and OT Cyber Security Simulation.

These sessions provided insights into industrial automation trends, the convergence of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT), and the growing importance of cybersecurity in industrial environments. These areas play an important role in the development of Smart Manufacturing.

V2S Engineering Demonstrates OT Cyber Security Simulation
In the afternoon, V2S Engineering contributed an OT Cyber Security Simulation demonstration, presenting simulated cybersecurity scenarios in industrial systems. The demonstration helped participants understand how cybersecurity technologies can be applied and why protecting OT environments is essential.

The session also provided an opportunity to share practical experience in automation and industrial system security, highlighting the importance of protecting industrial control systems as digital technologies become increasingly integrated into manufacturing operations.
